Visual Plans for the week - Winter Olympics, Valentine's Day and other topics

It has been a long time since I've linked up with Mrs. Wills Kindergarten and her peek at week linky party. It takes me so long to create these visual plans and I really wasn't sure anyone was reading them. But I'm going to try again. I have a weird hodge podge of plans this week. We were out last week for 3 days due to snow. So all Valentine's Day plans were put off. We've only been to school one full week since we've been back from Christmas break. I feel like I'm falling further and further behind so instead of pushing my plans from last week to this week. I mashed them together with a new week in our reading series. So my theme is a little off. We're going to be doing a variety of things and working on a lot of stuff. I hope my kids are up for it. Better yet I hope I'm up for it. I am planning some fun things to talk about the Winter Olympics. I hope to be back later this week to share more. Anyway, here are my plans.

To be able to click on the links you need to download the plans from this link here. It will take to the google docs file.
I would write more but I have dark chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream, the Winter Olympics and my hubby waiting for me. Be sure to head over to Mrs. Wills Kindergarten to check out the party.
I would love to hear what you do when snow days get in the way of your plans and how you handle it.

Visual Plans: PUmpkins and Halloween fun

This week we'll be finishing up learning about pumpkins and doing a little celebrating of Halloween. We'll also be learning about the letter c, the popcorn word a and numbers 1-20. I'm linking up with DeeDee to show my plans for the week.
Be sure to click on this link to download my plans from google docs. That's the only way to see the clickable links.

My centers are the same this week as they were last week. I usually keep my centers for 2 weeks or a little longer. These might be a little longer.
Be sure to head over to Mrs. Wills' Blog and see what everyone else is doing.

Peek at My Week

It has been a busy but good weekend. Yesterday I spent some time with my mom, sister and niece. It was a great fall day and we decorated some Halloween cookies. Today was spent with some high school girls from church. We've started a girls group for our youth girls. Today was our second monthly meeting and it was a lot of fun. We made scarves out of t-shirts which was a pretty neat craft. Now I'm sitting on the couch listening to the Broncos/Colts game. I'm a sucker for Peyton Manning. I got a little teary eyed when they were playing his press conference after the Colts let him go. I'm a Tennessee girl so Peyton is my man. Anyway, this coming week is going to be busy busy as usual. We're going to be learning all about the letter t, sight word we, characters in stories and numbers 11-20. We're also going to be doing some pumpkin activities. I use to always do pumpkins the week we do the letter p but our letter order is different and I don't want to be rushed the week of Halloween. I'm pretty excited about doing some pumpkin activities from Deanna Jump's Pumpkin Palooza Pack.
I'm linking up with DeeDee Wills for a Peek at My Week.
Remember to see the links you need to download the pdf from google docs here. Visual Plans for October 21st.

We're starting new centers this week. My centers in theory last 2 weeks. Students go to one center a day and there are 10 centers. But we had some testing and fire prevention activities so this past round lasted about 3 weeks. It seems to be going better to have my math centers during literacy center time. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a math workshop going in the next few weeks. We're moving on to numbers 11-20 and I still have a few students who don't have 1-10. Be sure to head over to DeeDee's blog and check out what other people are doing in their class this week.

Peek at my Week

We had a great week last week learning all about pets. I hope to be back to share some of what we did and a new unit I'm working on soon. I have enjoyed my weekend big time and not working on school stuff at all until Sunday rolls around. It's so nice. Yesterday Chris and I headed to Cades Cove and had a picnic. It was a beautiful day out in the cove. Here's a pic I instagramed.
In about an hour I'm going to have girls from our youth group over to start a new girls ministry. I'm pretty excited about it so this is going to be a quick post. I'm linking up again this week with Mrs. Wills for her Peek at My week Linky.

You'll notice I've abandoned math workstations for now and have incorporated math into my literacy centers. I just can't get two different rounds going yet so I'm going to try this out.
Be sure to download the plans to access the links and freebies that are in the plans. Click here to download.

This is week is all about apples and the 5 senses. We're suppose to go on a field trip on Thursday to the National Park. Hopefully the government will get their act together so we can still go.

Be sure to head over to DeeDee's blog and see what everyone else is up to this week.
I'm off to get cheese dip made and salsa out. Happy Sunday Friends! I would love to hear from you if you download my plans.

Peek at My Week

So maybe eventually I blog more than once a week with my visual plans but not currently. I have some ideas for some posts so hopefully this week I'll be back with a great math lesson we had this week.
Anyway, I'm linking up with Mrs. Wills for her linky party.
Remember to get to the links and freebies you have to download the link from google docs. Click here. There are a couple of freebies in my plans.

My workstation plans are the same as last week. I try to do my literacy stations for 2 weeks and then I haven't been able to get a handle on math stations yet. I am having a hard time fitting them it. But I keep writing it down in hopes that I'll get to it.
Be sure to head over the Deedee's blog and check out everyone else's peek at their week.

A Peek at My Week and a freebie or two

I had this already to go yesterday but I had left my hard drive at school which had my freebie on it. I'm exhausted this Monday so I'm just going to share my plans with you. Remember that you have to download the plans from google docs to get the freebie.
I'm linking up with Mrs. Wills Kindergarten.

Visual Plans for the Week and a freebie

I am probably crazy for spending the past hour or so working on these when I could be out soaking up the sun. But I wanted to do it. I am trying to stick with this linky party and it helps me get a little more organized for the week. Since I'm going to be out on Monday I need all the organization I can get. (I just realized I didn't print out and copy homework for next week. Whoops.)
So I'm linking up with Mrs. Wills for her weekly party.

Remember you must download the plans from the google doc to get the links to work. These are just picture files. Click here to download.

Last week was my first week of literacy stations and it went really well to have the play and learning centers mixed together. We're only doing one rotation a day so it'll take us 2 weeks or so to get through them. I'm hoping after this week we'll be able to try out doing 2 rotations.
I didn't too much with the math workstations as rotations but did get the games introduced so I'm hoping this week we'll actually be able to do some stations.
Be sure to click on the plans. I have a freebie in there for an easy peasy dice game and I've linked to several freebies from Jennifer at Herding Kats in Kindergarten.
I had a request to share my template for my plans. I was going to work on it today but the sun is calling my name so I'll be back later this week to share it. (It'll give me something to blog about)
Be sure to head over to DeeDee's party!
Here's a couple of pictures from St. Simon's Island.
