First currently of the new year

Chris and I rang in the new year watching Doctor Who and eating Mexican leftovers from Chris's birthday. We had an offer to hang out with some friends but Chris didn't get home until a little late and we needed some couple time. It was nice. I got Chris. Blue ray player for Christmas and discovered you could stream Netflix. So I've been enjoying watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Parenthood while Chris has us watching The doctor.
Anyway, I'm linking up with Farley for her monthly currently party. It is one of my favorite parties of the month!
I was enjoying the Today show earlier. I don't get to watch it unless I'm off school. I have been enjoying drinking my coffee and chilling on the couch. I haven't done so well with reading my bible since school has been out. I do much better with routine. But I'm loving having some time to relax. I haven't
Done anything school related this break unless you count pinning. But I have 5 more days if you include today. I still have a few things I want to do like organize my closet and kitchen cabinets. I also need to get some of my Teachers Pay Teachers projects done. I am going to need them when school starts back. My favorite new tradition is spending Christmas morning with Chris. We do Christmas with his family the night before Christmas Eve and then Christmas Day at his Grandmother's. Christmas Eve morning we go to my parents' house. So Christmas morning Chris and I have breakfast together and open our presents. It is a nice way to spend the morning and it is good to have the tradition in place for when we have our own kids.
So that is my currently for the month. Be sure to head over to Farley's and check out the party.

  1. I'm convinced that "pinning" ideas should get us some sort of recertification points! I've been pinning everything from recipes to reading ideas to family ideas. Enjoy your time off, my husband and I are starting a new couples devotional today The Love Dare from the movie Fire Proof.

  2. I'm glad I'm not the only one that struggles to do my devotional when I'm off from school. It's hard to remember when your routine is broken. I even struggle on the weekends. I love getting to watch Kelly and Michael when I'm on break!

  3. I have been struggling with my devotional time too! I wish I had a better routine for it...I can tell throughout the day when I haven't done anything!

  4. Good for you for kicking back and enjoying your holiday break. I really enjoy Christmas morning just being with my husband and daughter. We can make it a relaxing morning and take our time to enjoy the moment.
