I am guest blogging at Kindergarten Lifestyle today. You should head over and check it out.

I talk about our ocean unit and have a science freebie for you.We finally finished up our ocean unit and my kids finished their writing about their sea animals. I completely forgot to take any pictures of their work. But I was pleased. I've really been trying to differentiate with my students lately. Yesterday, I worked with a small group on just writing one sentence about their animals while the rest of the students took their facts and wrote three sentences. I was really pleased with both groups work. We started Thursday talking about the rain forest a little. We read the book The Great Kapok Tree and then a non fiction Time for kids story about the rain forest. They then completed the charts rain forests are, and rain forest have in their groups. Next week, I plan to do more with the rain forest. I'm in need of some book suggestions so if you have some, I would love to hear them. I saw some cool oil pastel drawings of the rain forest so I'm thinking of doing that and adding a writing component. I wasn't originally planning on spending a whole week on the rain forest. I was going to tie into Earth day and do a comparison of oceans and rain forest. But the kids were really into the rain forest. So I'm going to take advantage of it.
I made another scoot game for the kids to use this week. It's with sight words. I have 28 cards with sight words on them and a recording sheet. They can rotate around the room using the sight words in sentences. If you can use it, please leave me some love. The graphics are from Graphics from the Pond. Also, I would love to hear your ideas for rain forest fun. I've never taught a unit on the rain forest before.
Click here to get the freebie. You can download it free from my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Please consider following me and leaving me some feedback if you download it.
